David Wilson (1820-1898)
My great great grandfather David Wilson (1820-1898) survived the Civil War and the death of his 1st wife in the 1860’s. In 1866 he remarried to start a new life, only to lose his oldest son William (age 21) and 4 babies between 1870 and 1874.
My father and I have placed a bench in the Harveyville, Kansas cemetery to remember these children and to honor David.
THANKS DAD.

Hi Ben, I really like your bench memorial. Very thoughtful.
It’s been a while since I looked at this, but wasn’t James the oldest son ? Could never find him either, of course.
Really enjoy all your photography.

Your right. James would have been older and probably died as a child as he never showed up in Census reports. Hope all is well with you and you family.
