Thanks to Alex Cruz for reporting a juvenile Snowy Owl at the airport this afternoon. We also saw the small flock of 15-20 Snow Buntings.

What a treat he was, eh? even if he did cause a little kerfluffle with Security yesterday—which I thankfully missed by a timely exit.

Actually, come to think of it, he was my first official owl of 2012. I didn’t log any owls on my solo weekend in Sax-Zim, though scoring plenty of other neat birds. (Number 2 was today’s Great-horned at Crosby,)
