Yesterday, we launched our newest website for a company called Snappy Goods. Snappy Goods sells replacement covers for porch swings and matching pillows. They approached Jeff and Christy about shooting some product photography and asked about help with a new web site. Christy Wilson Photography and simpleDesigns collaborated and built a new site for them.

The website was built using WordPress offering our customer the ability to a blog on their site. The Bold theme comes from a collection provided by Elegant Themes. An e-commerce plugin was installed from Instinct and payments are handled through a Paypal account.
If you need help with a web design question or are thinking about creating a new site, feel free to contact me by phone or email. We also provide a wealth of photography and video services.
Check out those high-prices models.

CWP is off and running full steam. Jeff and Christy have a family photo shoot Thursday here in town and then over 20 appointments in Rochester, MN at a dog grooming salon on the weekend. They also just signed up for the largest AKC Dog Show in the Midwest in January. Over 2,000 dogs will be competing and the public is invited. Last year an estimated 30,000 visitors toured the show at the Xcel Center. In the middle of all of this, they are shooting products for a startup company, Snappy Goods.

I find myself looking at outdoor scenes differently these days. Everything is a possible location for a photo shoot. Last week, Tina and I were walking on the grounds of a resort ‘up north’, and came across this old barn/garage. Later in the day, we used it for a back drop for our “Mickey” shoot.

The front of the lodge had some great stone pillars that I also used to play hide and seek with Tina.

The resort also has a lighthouse marking the entry of their marina. I used it to give the feel of a cold day on the coast of Maine.
