Another successful Lone Star Century

May 24, 2006 | Cycling

On May 20th, 212 cyclists rode their bikes from Oregon Trail Park in Olathe west for up to 102 miles. Routes of 25, 45, 75 and 102 with multiple SAG stops were provided by the Johnson County Bike Club. Mom and Dad along with JCBC President Mark Scrivner helped man the Vinland rest stop at the half way point.

The weather was perfect with a slight head wind on the return trip. Dave Oldberg reported a 21 mph average for the entire 102 miles.

A great thank you to all of the volunteers and especially the HAM radio operators who made it a marvelous day. Posted by Picasa
