All of us spent a great deal of time this summer hiking and preparing for this trip. Whether it was hiking Shawnee Mission Park or climbing stairs in an office tower, all of us worked at getting our legs and bodies in shape for this adventure.
The group gathered on Friday evening, 9-15 at Wallace State Park for an overnight camp and a 3.5 mile Saturday hike. Mike’s wife Beth and son James and Kristen’s son Oliver also joined us for the pre-trip shakedown.
