Vince, Rod and Fred
One of the major reasons that Tina and I set out on the road in August, was to visit my dad’s brothers and sister-in-laws in Texas. Vince and Fred live outside of Boerne, TX in the beautiful Texas hill country. Vince has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. We had not seen the Texas relatives in some time and we were not sure about Vince’s condition. My dad and sister also flew in for the weekend and Fred’s daughter Cindy was visiting for one of the days, making the visit even more special.

Fred’s place is beautiful with an outdoor pool, 50+ animals and some great birding. Tina and I stayed for a couple of extra days as we watched Hurricane Ike take aim at Texas. We had planned to move on to the Texas coast, but decided to wait and see where Ike was headed before getting back on the road. This seemed like a really great place to hang out.
