Now that the leaves are dropping, it’s time to look for seasonal birds in the back yard. One of our favorites is the White-throated Sparrow. The black-and-white-striped head is augmented by a bright white throat and yellow between the eye and the bill, which is gray. There is also a tan-striped version with tan head stripes, but still has white throat and yellow lores.
