On Monday, Tina and I drove to St. Joseph, Mo to begin our sneak attack into Kansas City for my mom’s 80th B-day party. We stayed with Teri and Joey (Phaedra’s folks), just outside of KC making it an easy run to the airport Tuesday afternoon to pick up my brother Tim. Then Tina, Tim and I drove to Crown Center and hid in a nice restaurant waiting for my sister to bring Mom and Dad in for dinner. Tina and I surprised her when she entered, wished her a Happy Birthday and escorted her to a beautiful table overlooking the KC skyline. After Mom was comfortably seated and drinks ordered, Tim casually strolled towards the table. I believe that she was truly flabbergasted with his presence. She was quite excited that Mary had planned this awesome event and that we were able to get into town without her getting wind of our plans.
