On July 23, I saw my first leopards in the wild on our way to Savuti Camp in NE Botswana. We approached the young female laying on the ground and watched as she climbed a tree to eat some of their kill. The kill had probably been dragged high in the tree earlier in the day. A larger male slept on the ground nearby, digesting his fill.
