Birding in Miami

On April 1st of 2016, I joined a group of 14 birders from Minnesota for a first trip to Cuba.  We contracted with the Caribbean Conservation Trust travel agency to handle logistics.  our group gathered in Miami the day before due to the early flight.  In the afternoon, several of us cabbed and Uber’d to the Matheson Hammock county park south of the city for some birding and to begin acclimating to the heat.
