How about a week of some of the best birding in the country and walks on long Gulf Coast beaches? Dauphin Island, Alabama is one of the top birding spots in the Southeast. An incredible 347 species have been reported on the island. Spring migration is the first landfall for many Neotropical birds who make the 600-mile flight across the Gulf of Mexico from the Yucatan Peninsula.
Tina and I are renting a home for 2 weeks, April 9-23rd on the island and have 2 extra bedrooms available. The weekly rate is $200.00 per bedroom and kitchen and grocery arrangements can be worked out. We are also working on access to a boat for some pelagic birding.
