Russ, Beth, Mary, Tina and I gathered in New York this past weekend for the 29th running of the Five Boro’s Bike Ride. Actually, only Russ and I participated in the ride, but the 5 of us had a great 3 days of site seeing & window shopping, delicious meals and some drinking, lots of walking and good company. Russ and I rode about 16 miles around Manhattan on Saturday and 42+ mles in the 5 Boro ride on Sunday.
We met Scott and Craig from KC and the 4 of us were able to score VIP passes (from Charlie at http://bicyclehabitat.com) so that we could start the ride at the front of the 30,000+ riders.

On Monday, Tina and I visited the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier which is now used as a military museum in the Hudson River. Images from the boat.
