Friday was grandparent’s day at Zander’s Montessori school. That meant I was able to visit class from 9-11am and spend some time watching Z in his school environment. We spent time reading, building, meeting the class Gekko, visiting with classmates and some of their grandparent’s and saying hello to his teachers. The class room is set up t allow each student to work on his area of interest at his or her own speed and level. I was amazed at how well behaved and orderly the room was in spite of 15 or so visitors.
On Friday evening, the school held a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to help raise money for the school. The kids had fun showing off their school and ‘exercsin’ in the blow u/bouncy room. As the dinner was well attended, I hope the evening was financially successful for the school.
I am also proud to announce that our daughter-n-law Phaedra has volunteered to be on the board of the
Little Voyageurs’ Montessori School. I know she’ll enjoy the experience, even if she is feeling a bit over whelmed at this point.
