Life bird in Roseville

varied-thrush

Tina and I took a break from work today, ran some errands and decided to try our luck at finding the Varied Thrush that has been reported this past week in Roseville.  On our 1st pass, we saw 30 Cedar Wax Wings, but no thrush.  On our 2nd pass, Tina found him working the crab apple tree with a lone Robin.  He sat for about 5 minutes before flying off to the cover of some spruce trees, possibly to get out of the wind.

Fun bird to see and a life bird for both of us….. meaning a 1st time sighting.  We’ll get back to processing Peru pictures soon.
