Cedar Waxwings

Another fun moment this week was watching 5-6 Cedar Waxwings working on a tall juniper at Vadnais Lake.  They were a bit high in the trees, but I still got several god shots.

Common Redpoll

Today’s shot is of my first Common Redpoll of the year.  We came across 5 of these guys working the seeds on a birch tree at Vadnais Lake.  Notice the small red ‘spot’ on the top of his head.

Red-tailed Hawk

Out driving yesterday, I came across a Red-tailed hawk flying by the railroad tracks.  When he landed, he was very patience and let me take his picture up close and personal.
